Website design and development for SECOR Asset Management

A professional website is important for any organisation; providing a crucial first impression and helping to establish credibility with clients and prospects alike. KBPR worked with the team at SECOR Asset Management to develop a new site which would better represent the global investment advisory firm and the services they offer to clients.

 

How it started…

Having appointed KBPR as their PR partner, SECOR invited us to review their website too. The team were looking for a more modern, brand-compliant site which better reflected the business and would allow them to increase online marketing. Following the review and feedback exercise, SECOR appointed us to complete a full overhaul including branding, content, design, navigation and search engine optimisation (SEO).

The story so far…

SECOR’s website had been untouched for a number of years and no longer reflected the full range of services offered to clients. Added to that, the design was inconsistent, some of the content was outdated and the site lacked in functionality.

We developed a site map in collaboration with SECOR’s project team, with a strong focus on user experience. We then used existing marketing materials to compile site content; editing and drafting additional content to fit and being sure to include key words to improve SEO. We worked closely with the compliance team to ensure technical correctness, alongside readability – always an important balance in marketing for financial services companies.

Our designers reviewed the branding and developed a secondary colour palette to work alongside SECOR’s existing gold and blue. We recreated tables and graphs and developed a set of icons to be used in the site and future marketing materials. A typeface was selected, and guidelines compiled to govern use of the brand across future marketing materials.

Once the content, design and sitemap had been agreed, our team developed page templates and built the site using WordPress and our bespoke layout block system. The site was tested thoroughly and reviewed for content and compliance by SECOR’s UK and US based teams.

SECOR opted for a soft launch and switched to their new site in March 2021. In advance of the launch, we ran a WordPress training session for the project team to show them how to make updates quickly and easily in future without incurring extra cost.

Where we are now…

We have continued to support the team with SEO enhancements since the launch and the new site now sits within the first page of Google rankings as a result of the improvements made. SECOR are proud of their new site which is now well aligned with the professional and modern company it represents; we are thrilled to have helped them achieve it.
